The attention given by General Motors to Saturn was repaid after the brand performed well and helped the automaker increase its May sales compared to last year. The quality offered by Saturn cars tied General Motors with the Toyota Motor Corporation for the fourth place in the Strategic Vision annual quality survey. Question by anstiss: Why arent American Automakers looking into the air powered car that Thata Motors of India is coming out with? Two different inventors have a car that runs on compresed air. One is in France the other in Austraila. MDI of France has agreed to jointly produce the car in India in 2008. Range is 125 miles, top speed 68 and takes 4 hours to recharge its own compressed air while plugged in. For normal city driving, totally pollution free, and hardly no cost to run, this could turn around our auto industry.

Last Month General Motors Co. decided to sale their European Opel unit to Canadian auto parts maker Magna International. This month however, General Motors Co. has decided to keep Opel themselves.
This decision was made Tuesday after a long meeting in Detroit; the CEO of General Motors Fritz Henderson reported that General Motors will present its reconstructing plan for Opel to the German government soon.
