Dodge Viper, the company hummer, saturn sky, chrystler pt cruiser, honda s200, there were a few others, but all of these are being discontinued. The Hummer company, and viper hit me hard, i love those cars! When this gas crisis is over, Hummers will come back, i hope. how do you feel about these cars being discontinued?

I heard that this is a result of producing the batteries…something about nickel being needed and mined. Is there any truth to this. Can anyone find articals or know of any that may suggest this?

I thought it would be funny if I could get her a pink hummer toy (as in, hotwheels sized NOT a ride-on kids toy). Answer by Cadillac Man2009 was the last year that Hummer produced vehicles. You will not find anything newer than that since Hummer has been shut down because General Motors could not find a buyer for the brand.

Question by Nacho: Hummer being sold to a Chinese company? 60% of GM is governmentally owned, Obama appoints a 31 year old guy (who’s still in law school) to head GM who has No car business experience. Now, Yahoo news reports that a Chinese Co will be buying Hummer from GM. Will our military have to buy Hummer’s from the Chinese now? What’s next, buying our tanks and planes from Taiwan?
What are your thoughts? Who do you think makes the military version? Duh!

Question by : Technically, aren’t Hummer H2′s better for the environment then a Pruis? Hummer’s may get bad gas mileage, but they are american made, and do not have to be shipped across an ocean on a barge, like non-American manufactures do. Plus, a Pruis has a 300v Lithium battery, which can be very bad for the environment, think of all the materials used to make that battery, when a Hummer H2 uses a standard 24v battery. Now which car is bad for the environment?
