Question by Bad Wolf: How to a share wireless internet connection, changing between 2 of 3 computers? We have 2 PC’s and a laptop. We want our 2 PC’s to have access to the internet, but when we disconnect from one of our PC’s we want out laptop to connect. One of our PC’s dosen’t have any kind of networking card, the ohter had a networking cars, and the laptop has a wireless networking card. Do they ALL have to have wireless networking cards? Also, how do we set it up?

Answer by Colincthat is not the way to do it. For more than one machine you should buy a router. Connect that to the line and both machines to it.

Question by Philosophical One: How to Limit Internet bandwidth and speed for other computers? Basically, here’s the scenario.
My brother tends to run these vigorous programs, such as that of Utorrent, and hogs up the whole bandwidth in the house. When he does these kinds of activities, I am unable to navigate through the internet effectively; even as simple as checking my email!
There anyway to limit his internet speed? A method that he won’t know it’s actually going on.

Answer by jasonicusYou could use a VPN or use remote desktop program that allows file transfer. Otherwise, load the files to a website and just download to the other pc.

Question by bsbeckett: PC World refuse to repair faulty software on computers they sell. Does this break consumer protection law? I have a new Acer laptop with a wifi signal so weak it cuts out If the laptop is more than 6 feet from the router. PC World say this is a software fault and so not covered by the warranty. Are they breaking consumer protection law?
