Question by Kalibasa: How much does it cost to travel around South America? And can someone give me advice? I’m not picky (aka I’ll gladly stay in hostels and take cheap buses), I just need to be safe, since I’m a white American woman who will be traveling alone.

Question by : How cheap is South America? For my next trip I wanna travel south america, Brazil, Argentina, Chilli etc. Has anybody got an idea as of how expensive it is over there? I heard it’s really cheap, i’d want to take about £5000 which is 12,800 Brazilian real how long do you think I could make that last if i was careful?
