first off, i want to say a little about myself so i don’t come off as a crazy person. haha. my name is evan. i’m about 5’7″ and 20 years young. i’ve had a rather easy life. very cushy and wonderful parents. its just one problem. i’ve never been happy. the only thing i find slight happiness in is the thought of taking my bike across the united states and traveling on it. i can’t remember the last time i’ve actually been happy. i’ve actually become rather sad lately. i’ve worked regular jobs and done regular things but just can’t find happiness in it. at all.
i’m actually scheduled to start college soon so i can become a mechanic but i don’t want to. i just want to take my bike out and ride across the united states and travel.
does anyone have the same ambition as me to travel like this and do they feel the same way?

Go for it!! As long as you have the money to be able to do it and you do plan on starting your real life right after you get home, then I say do it!! Make sure you put a time limit on the trip and have a real date to go home. I think if you don’t go for it then you will wonder “what if?” for the rest of your life. You are young right now and have the opportunity to do what you would love to do, so I don’t see anything wrong with it. Talk to your parents and make plans to keep in touch and meet if you can at several points thoughout your trip. Make sure that you map it out very well and stay in safe areas, also make sure that, if you can, have someone go with you. If you can’t please make sure that someone knows were you are at all times incase there is an emergency, I wouldn’t want anything bad to happen to you It could be a great experience even if you just go for a week or two, you can find out many things about yourself when all you have is you as your own company.

Make sure before you do anything, plan, plan, plan. Make sure you are safe at all times and think everything through…completely!!

I have had the same edition for 4 years on 4 trips to South America, it is really useful, have spent 17 months over here in 10 countries. I should buy the latest edition one day!

I would much rather drive a 1987 Camaro IROC-Z with that
8-cylinder that needs occasional maintanence than drive a new car like that UGLY Honda Insight, UGLY Chevy Aveo, or UGLY Ford Echo.

I never had an 8-cylinder and it’d be cold day in hell when I’d choose my next vehicle to be some UGLY new car that just doesn’t look COOL like that Firebird or Camaro.
