I’m 13 and i am traveling to Queensland from Victoria with a friend. I’m just wondering if anyone knows what kind of ID I’d need to take with me? I don’t have a passport though.

No ID required. If you are flying and planning on picking up your ticket at the check in counter of the air line then you will need student ID. If you check in 24 hours before online or use the self service kiosk with your code given through email if booked online you don’t need ID, also if traveling by a medium other then air you also do not require any ID.

The above answer is correct if your are not checking in any baggage… but if you are needing to drop off a suitcase you will most likely be asked for your ID, in which case a school ID would be fine. If you don’t have a school ID try to get the medicare card from your parents with your name on it and your eftpos card with your name on it or just your birth certificate. Normally photographic ID is required but the airlines are not too strict on under 15′s as obviously not everyone has photo ID.
