Question by Sherman81: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=74005?
we recently found a new computer and i got everything to work. Then once i did the Microsoft Updates and i restarted my computer, i get http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=74005, what can i do. I found online something about HiJack This, but i used it and i didn’t find http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=74005 on it.
i also found online which stated to switch back to IE6, if thats the case, can you give me the link to IE6.

To uninstall Internet Explorer 7 to return to Internet Explorer 6 on Windows XP
Click “Start,” and then click “Control Panel.”
Click “Add or Remove Programs.”
Check “Show Updates” at the top of the dialog box.
Scroll down the list and highlight the version of Internet Explorer 7 that you are running, and then click “Change/Remove.”
Uninstall that, restart your PC and you are on IE6

Forget ie,just download firefox from http://www.mozilla.org then go back to the same site and look at the addonsextensions for firefox and theres an ie one there install it and the only time you ever have to use ie[microsoft updates]you just click on ie addon and itll open in firefox and therefore is ten times safer to use.####if you dont have ie7[sp2]you cant get latest updates from microsoft either way so dont delete ie7 you will never have to use it again if you do what i said above but you still need it there for pc to be secure@@@also can you goto startsettingscontrol panelsystem and edit your post by telling us what your pc specs are eg:windowsxp home edition version 2002 service pack 2
