Question by xxxlovelytemptationxxx: What do you think is the best technical college for automotive?
After high school I’d like to be an automotive technician, but I’m undecided on which school I should attend when I graduate. Right now I’m thinking about UTI, the GM school in New Hampshire, and the community college here in Maine. Location doesn’t matter to me, I’d like to get far away from home, if I can help it. Thank you.

If you need good advice for which is the best school or college to go to then I hope this advice will help

You should speak to your school counselor or stop by your local library…they may have many resources available such as books, DVDs, website, pamphlets, and etc. to help you decide which school or college to go to

You can stop by a local gas station, car repair shop, and etc. to ask for advice for which school or college to go and which courses you need to take

There are also many online forums for car repair and etc…you can ask them for any advice and information

Car repair forum

You can also contact your local, state, or the Federal Department of Education, consumer protection agency, and etc. to see if they have any information, resources, advice, and etc. to help you out with this matter and situation

They may have information for tutoring, financial aid, school accreditation and etc.

For example here is the US Department of Education website that has information for accreditation, educational options, finding a school, distance education, and etc.

You should also check out your local colleges and etc. to see if they offer any courses or classes for that particular career

For example there are many community (2 year) colleges that offer Associate’s Degrees or Certificates in car repair, computer repair and etc.

Here is a list of community colleges in the US that you can contact to get more information

If you need career suggestions and information then a website you might find to be very helpful is the one at the US Bureau of Labor Statistics which has lots of information for careers such as the nature of the work, educational and training requirements, wages, estimated job outlook, and etc.

They also include a list of organizations that can provide more information about these careers

Various Professional and related occupations
