Q&A: I’m looking for a suggestion of a good travel book of Western Caribbean attractions.?
Question by Phil’s Brat: I’m looking for a suggestion of a good travel book of Western Caribbean attractions.?
We are traveling in November with stops in Belize and Costa Maya. I’m looking for a good travel book to take with us and perhaps a website for additional information.
We already have the cruise booked for early November. Now we’re looking for a book with excursion suggestions to take with us.

The problem with most books is they either focus on the Caribbean or Belize or Mexican Riviera, but not all three.

Books become outdated so fast. Your best bet is to visit http://www.cruisecritic.com – They have a message board for each port and you will be able to read reviews of dozens of different excursions.
Here are my recommendations:
Belize – You should definitley go cave-tubing. You can’t do it anywhere else, and it is absolutely spectacular! We booked with Reggie http://www.regtour.com and we were so pleased! We had a smaller group and a longer ride than any of the other cruise ship excursions.
Costa Maya – We went to see the mayan ruins – and then to have an authentic mayan dinner with a mayan family. We booked with http://www.chacchobenruins.com/ and were very pleased.
Check out the cruise critic website and you can decide which excursion will be the best for your family. Hope this helps!
Have fun!
