Question by Dark Angel: flight simulator X or other. Auto Pilot help?
can anyone tell me how to land an airplane using the ILS, as a matter of fact i just want to land a 747-300 boeing jet but the fact is that i can’t do it, any online help, videos or anything will be helpful, also any help will be greatly apreciated. and by the way i just want to know how to land it using autopilot as long as the Aircraft lands with auto pilot.
if this helps i have deluxe version Flight simulator X, and i have been practicing free flights to learn how to land before actually moving into the missions

First, tune your NAV1 radio to the ILS freq.
to do this:
1- Shift 2 to bring up radio stack. find NAV 1, tune standby freq to whatever ILS freq the rwy is. switch it over to active freq

to find the rwy freq, open GPS, find the airport you are ladning at, use the bigger cursor on the GPS ( outer knob) to switch pages until you come upon the freq page, then use the inner knob to scroll page and find the ILS freq. or use the map page to find the rwy freq. (press alt for the menu bar, go to world, and then map.)

Once NAV1 is set, Switch autopilot to Nav if it was on GPS.
control the throttle yourself or use autothrottle.

You need to have the aircraft in the rwy’s general heading. Don’t expect autopilot to be perfect either.

It may seem complicated, and it is. Best advice is to seek help on multiplayer and get a human to help you directly. FSX multiplayer with shared aircraft is really great for this. You get to be in the same aircraft with someone else and be in constant comm with a mike.
