Question by XOXO: Which car to get: Jeep Wrangler Unlimited-4×4 Rubicon or Hummer H3x?
Hi,
My husband and I wanted to get a Jeep wrangler unlimited rubicon but realize the price would be around 32k…
I looked at the hummer and the H3x is about 10k more or just H3 (adventure) would be 35k which is really close to jeep’s pricing.
Which one is more worth the price???

You don’t want a Hummer and here’s why: Hummer may not survive, so unless you plan to drive it until the wheels fall off then you’re going to have a hard time reselling for a worthy price. General Motors is trying to sell Hummer to Chinese people but they’re having a hard time doing it.
Also Hummers don’t make a good impression on the driver.
If you buy a jeep, then you need to be sure ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE that you’re buying it from The New Chrysler Group and not Chrysler LLC.
If you buy it from the Chrysler LLC, then you’re buying it from a bankrupt company with no assets. So you can’t sue them if something goes wrong and it’s their fault and who knows if the warranty is backed.
The New Chrysler Group is now out of bankruptcy and if you’re buying it from them, then you can sue them if something goes wrong and the warranty is good.
As a matter of opinion I’d prefer a Jeep.

If you only use it to haul groceries, go with the Hummer. If you actually go off road, get the Jeep.

Well I have to disagree with chico on a whole lot of things but this is about you buying a Jeep or Hummer. And I just talked to the Service Mngr at Cerritos Hummer GMC, Pontiact and buick he said that the China government stepped in and told the chinese company ( earth mover manufacture ) that wanted to buy the GM hummer line, ( not the H1, owned by AM-General ) they cant.
I can go on about the Jeep but maybe later
I would go for the Rubicon, it has more Heavy duty applications and it is way easier to do add-ons and mods to it as you go. And has a better resale value, and over all is just a better 4×4
I have worked on and drove the H3 ( being a mechanic for GMC-hummer ) I really did not like the truck. It is ok for around town, but that chopped roof is real annoying. And vision looking out of that truck just sucks. Now the v-8 model is great on torque, and has a good weight rating for towing. And decent for 4x4ing but just not a all around 4×4 for the person that want to really get out there and 4×4. But if you want to camp and get to the local water hole with a 4 door truck then the Hummer. I just cant get around that lowered roof

both are unreliable and get terrible gas mileage.
if you want one of these real bad then get the wrangler.

H3=POS!
Stay away from the H3….the Unlimited Rubicon is WAY BETTER.
The H3 is a Yuppie pavement pounder and the Rubicon is a bad A off road trail tamer.

Here’s what I’d do. Buy the Rubi for $32, add a small long arm lift for $2000, and spend the last $1000 on tires.
You would have a much stronger and more valuable 4 door 4×4 for the same price.

If you are debating on which one then you dont even deserve a JEEP RUBICON!! most ppl that get one dont you will NEVER treat it the way your suppose to , BUT the easy choice is THE RUBICON ahahahahhahhahahahhahhahaha easist choice EVER! ASK THE DEALER exactly what the rubicon has , and make sure they know eactly what everythjing means in that JEEP and your gonna say WOW why did i ever even think of a HUMMER! hahahahhah the only “HUMMER” I COULD SQUEEZE SOME RESPECT OUT FOR IS THE HUMVEE!!! H1 military hummer! the rest are joke, please do JEEP the favor and by a JEEP . JUST to add to sales!! BUT FOR YOUR USE WELL JUST A DAILY DRIVER! but youll know you have a beast!!! and ya lift that thing , and get tires , and PLEASE dont put flashy rims on this JEEP , please all you ppl that but rims on the omg , POOR jeep !! its JEEP not AN escalade!!! ask someone for advise please!!
